            Pottery making with raku firing

Raku is the Japanese art of quickly firing and cooling pottery for the pleasure of experiencing the firing process. On the first day, we make objects from clay and the following weekend, we glaze and fire them. The results are always surprising and exciting.

The mosaic workshop takes 3 days. On the first we learn how to design and cut the mosaic. Glazing is done on the second day. On the final day we assemble the pieces and grout them to produce a beautiful piece of tile work for wall or table top.

All workshops run from 9am till 4 pm each           day. Clay and materials are provided. Please bring your own lunch. Cost of all other workshops $1000 per day with a 50% deposit on registration.
  Venue: Ajoupa, Chickland Village

Open Day 2017

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Announcing our annual Open Studio Event for November  11 and 12 from 10 am till 6 pm Saturday and Sunday.

Come and enjoy the beautiful garden, butterflies and hummingbirds and bring your picnic.

This year we are featuring paintings by Shinhuey,  glass jewelry and gifts by Kristy, handmade porcelain pottery by Greta, plants and mosaic by Kelly and two Arty Party painting events by Sharon. My sculpture is on show and available for purchase and I have also made smaller gift items - a village of stray dogs, fired in the raku style and lots of chickens!

We look forward to seeing you. Please follow the map on the website or call if you get lost.
